Remember all those intricate angel wings that stole the stage at the last Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show? The intricacy of these amazing wings were achieved thanks to 3D printing, which has left many wondering whether the tech could be the next thing to take over the fashion world.

Besides Victoria’s Secret, major high-fashion retailers like SSENSE have also decided to dedicate an entire editorial section to explaining the processes behind 3D-printed fashion and exploring some branded favorites. Highlights included German eyewear brand MYKITA, which is known for popularizing the use of 3D printing technology in the optical field.

And it makes perfect sense really. When combined with body scan technology, there's no limit to what kinds of couture and bespoke fashion can be printed out using luxurious materials like cashmere, wool and chiffon. At this rate, it won't be long now until every wardrobe comes with its own 3D printer.
