M.I.A Sued $1.5 Million For Showing Middle Finger During Super Bowl Performance

The British-Sri Lankan artist is reportedly being sued by the NFL for making an obscene gesture during the 2012 Super Bowl halftime show.
The "Paper Planes" performer had decided to give the bird to while performing “Give Me All Your Luvin” while also blurted out an expletive.
The move prompted 222 FCC complaints, forcing NFL and NBC to go on the defensive by suing the rapper and releasing this apology:
“We apologize for the inappropriate gesture that aired during halftime,” said NBC’s Christopher McCloskey.
“It was a spontaneous gesture that our delay system caught late.”
But don't expect M.I.A to take the lawsuit in stride. She has since responded by blasting the lawsuit letter on Twitter“It was a spontaneous gesture that our delay system caught late.”
