The good news is that Game of Thrones season 7 has a release date. The bad news though, it's going to be really late. How late? Well, you're not going to like the answer. It's going to suck real bad. We're going to have to find something to do to pass the time.

It's going to be in Summer 2017.

The reason is that filming needs to be in locations that require the cold, since Winter is already here.

The president of HBO programming, Casey Bloys, confirmed just how long we'll be waiting. In a statement, he said:

Now that winter has arrived on ‘Game of Thrones,’ executive producers David Benioff and DB Weiss felt that the storylines of the next season would be better served by starting production a little later than usual, when the weather is changing.

Instead of the show’s traditional spring debut, we’re moving the debut to summer to accommodate the shooting schedule.

So upset!
