It's common to have some naysayers thinking Paige Spiranac can't golf like a pro. But she can, and a few weeks ago, she thought about quitting Instagram because some people complained about her inclusion into the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters.

Here's the story.

Spiranac told her Twitter followers at the end of her round [during the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters] that she’d been through the ‘hardest days’ of her life.

And after facing criticism for her inclusion in the event, although no players have gone on record to voice their disapproval, Spiranac appeared relieved to have 18 holes carded.

Sitting tied for 94th in a field of 108 and 11 shots behind leader Liz Young, she tweeted: ’77. There was some throwing up and tears before. Last night and today were the hardest days of my life to get through.’

She told reporters that she understood critics’ motivation but was intent on making her name in the game for the right reasons.

‘I understand where they are coming from. I mean, I’ve played golf and have had good results, but when you look at my game compared to the top players in the world, I’m not in the same league,’ she is quoted by The Telegraph.

‘But I wish they could see that I’m working as hard as I can. I may make it, I may not make it. But I’m just trying to focus on what I need to do to get to the next level and trying not to focus on what they say.’

But then she fired back with this:
