Before you continue, know that this post contains spoilers from Sunday's Game of Thrones episode "The Mountain and the Viper".

Last Sunday was shocking. We guess we should never ever get attached to any character on Game of Thrones. Oberyn Martell met an eye-popping fate on the latest episode.

The Mountain, as he is known in the show, may have appeared to be losing in the beginning, quickly gained victory toward in the end, proving that sometimes you shouldn't procrastinate in killing your opponent off.

But that's an on-screen thing. Off-screen actors Pedro Pascal, who plays the Red Viper, posted an image on Instagram all pal-ed up with Hafthor Julius Biornsson, the man who plays the Mountain. He's also the 2nd strongest man in the world. Check it out below:

It is a shame we won't be seeing Oberyn anymore in the show. We quite liked his character. But in good old George R.R. Martin fashion, heroes die like flies and your feelings are irrelevant. The Mountain stands at 6 feet 9 inches and weighs 419 pounds.

Back in April, Lena Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister, posted a pic to Instagram pretending to gouge out Pascal's eyes. We should have known it was a secret spoiler of sort!

In the fight, the Red Viper was leading. He was graceful. He was skillful.

It doesn't look like he would lose. But cockiness can be the death of you.
