There is a real and very high possibility you can die from a gunshot wound. But what does it feel like? Here's a description of what goes on and how your body deals with it and hopefully you'll never have to go through it in real life.

1. It feels hot and then wet. The body doesn't understand what just happened. Pain isn't the first thing you'll feel.

2. Film and TV exaggerate when someone gets shot. In reality, if you get shot, you'll just fall down, and not be blown away by it.

3. After your body understands what just happened, you'll go into a shock. You'll still be confused of what just happened.

4. Your adrenaline rises and you'll not feel that much pain yet.

5. Depending on your levels of adrenaline and fear, you might not feel the wound until a few seconds or minutes later.

6. When the pain sets in, you'll feel a throbbing sensation from the wound.

7. If you don't bleed out, the pain will last for a long time.
