Brian Griffin isn't dead. Anymore that is. In a holiday miracle, the show brought the Griffin family dog back from the dead in this weekend's "Christmas Guy" episode, thanks to Stewie Griffin's time traveling back to prevent his demise.

The dog has been a regular on the show since it premiered in 1999, but died when a car ran him over two episodes ago. Angry and sad fans demanded that the show's writers bring him back and even created a social media rally cry  with the hashtag #BringBrianBack. A Change.org petition has accumulated more than 128,000 signatures.

Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane was aware of fans' reactions. He addressed the concerns and Brian's comeback Sunday on Twitter:

I mean, you didn't really think we'd kill off Brian, did you? Jesus, we'd have to be fucking high.
