Bill Nye loves that the Internet loves science. But he wants you to embrace it completely.

Bill Nye The Science Guy, and host of StarTalk Live, took his science-y wit to SXSWi as part of Quirky and GE's "Night of Invention." The event invited inventors to pitch their projects to Nye, Andy Samberg, and Quirky CEO Ben Kaufman. Nye then played special guest host to Neil deGrasse Tyson's StarTalk Live alongside comedians Jenny Slate and Eugene Mirman.

But before the event, Mashable talked to Nye about the most realistic sci-fi movie ever made, scientific literacy on the internet, the most important discovery in history, and the most noble gas.
