It's not that CGI sucks in movies. It's just that you probably only notice the bad parts about it. Visual effects Freddie Wong and RocketJump Film School made a video to show you that there is actually more good CGI, and that's the thing that goes unnoticed.

Take for example this scene, where RDJ was barely wearing a suit to begin with.
