In Rotterdam, the architects at MVRDV have won a competition to build an art depot that will be open to the public. It will be built to house precious art collections of Rotterdam in collaboration with the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, a prominent art museum that looks like you'd expect it to look—traditional.

The depot will look a tad different from the traditional museum types. Using a mirrored facade, visitors will be able to peruse parts of the collection that aren't on display. Private art owners can rent out rooms to store and show their collections too.

Will a mirrored facade not burn and melt cars? Just wondering.
