The first in the list is the Ayutthaya Historical Park which is located in the ancient city of Ayutthaya as the name itself suggests. The park consists of the ruins of the capital Siam. It was founded in the 14th century. By the 18th century, Ayutthaya became the largest city in the world to provide shelter to over 1 million inhabits. Later in the 18th century, somewhere in 1767, the city was demolished by the Burmese army that resulted in the fall of the kingdom. By the late 20th century, the renovation started and the efforts to restore the city as best as possible to its former glory were made. Even today, the ambiance, the architecture, and the remains speak of the era that is long gone. 

2. Northern Hill Tribes:

Home to many interesting, ethnic, and colorful minorities, Northern Hill is one of the must-visit places in Thailand. Most of the tribes that are living here have been migrated from different parts and regions some 100 years back, mainly from Asia. Till date, they have been able to keep their traditions intact and in practice. There are numerous villages in the Hills and you can trek and visit any one of these. Grand Palace is one of the most famous and notable tourist attractions in entire Thailand and without visiting it, your trip is likely to stay incomplete. Located in Bangkok, the Grand Palace once served as the residence of the Kind of Siam and after the collapse of the kingdom, Grand Palace turned out to be the most visited and famous attraction in Thailand. It is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. The complex of the palace consists of a series of halls, pavilions, wats, and other establishments.  There are huge lawns, courtyards, and lavish gardens inside the palace. One of the most notable attractions inside the palace is the Wat Phra Kaew and also the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. 

4. Kho Phi Phi:

This name must sound familiar to you since this island is amongst the celebrities’ favourites. Phi Phi is an amazing archipelago and is located in the Krabi Province which is not far from Phuket. Kho Phi Phi is perhaps the only island amongst the rest in the archipelago to have permanent inhabitants. The national park is situated in the Trat Province of Eastern Thailand. The national park is made up of over 50 islands, and amongst all, Ko Chang is the most gorgeous one. It is famous for its lush jungles, amazing atmosphere and steep peaks. The island has white sand stretched as far as you can see which add to the beauty of the island. There are also waterfalls and water activities spots in case if you want to indulge in any. 

6. Thai-Burma Death Railway:

You may have got some chills only after reading the name of the attractions, but once you board the train, you will get to know what exactly we are talking about. It is a 2 hours journey on Thailand-Burma Death Railway. It starts from Kanchanaburi and travels on the bridge over the River Kwai to Nam Tok. It is said to be one of the most scenic train rides in history. The scenes your eyes will witness will certainly be out of the world, but it is not the scenes that make the ride special, but the history. During WWII, the railroad was constructed by the Japanese to connect to Yangon, that time serving the capital of Burma along with Bangkok, making laborers go into a deadly frenzy to complete the race. Today, only a part of the railway line is in function.
