Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations built a custom F-Type Coupe high performance support vehicle for the Tour de France competitor Team Sky.

Powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 550PS (542hp) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque, the F-Type Coupé support vehicle for Team Sky features a new racking solution designed to carry to of the team’s Pinarello Bolide TT bikes.

It also has a separate electric supply in the boot which provides power to the radios, amplifiers, microphones, horns and televisions which support communications between Team Sky's Sports Director and the rider.

“This F-Type concept is a world class vehicle that will help get the best out of the team on the TT stages,” said Sir Dave Brailsford, Team Principal at Team Sky.

Jaguar has been an Official Supplier to Team Sky since its debut in 2010, and has supported the team’s back-to-back winning campaigns in 2012 and 2013 with a fleet of all-new Jaguar XF Sportbrakes.
