Ford has come up with a very clever solution to avoid dents. The feature is called Door Edge Protector and it consists of a protective flap that is concealed in the door and moves into position in a fraction of a second as the door opens.

This prevents damage to paint and dents resulted by other cars' doors and your own carelessness. And check out Ford's cutesy way of advertising the feature in the video below:
