Here's an Umbrella Design That Won't Get Your Stuff Wet
2013.12.23
The umbrella hasn't had a major update since it first appeared in the early 1700s. And while it still does a fine job, it doesn't mean there aren't any attempts to make it better than before.
This umbrella by Japanese studio H Concept has reinvented the accessory. This one here doesn't leak rainwater onto the floor.
It has an inverted design, and instead of collapsing downwards toward the user, it folds outwards, trapping all excess rainwater inside and away from its owner.
Designer Hiroshi Kajimoto spent a decade improving the design and it comes with reinforced glass fiber to give it strong wind resistance.
