Most high-end DSLRs are waterproof. Still, photographers need a way to ensure their lens aren't covered in water droplets. Sometimes, wiping isn't enough. Maybe this filter can help.

The new filter from Tokina helps prevent water from forming drops in the first place. Developed by Tokina alongside the NHK in Japan, it features a special coating that causes water to spread evenly across the glass surface before flowing off. This makes the view through the filter obscured for less than a second before the water is gone.

The filter will be available next year, and is perfect for nature photographers. Or sports photographers working during a rainy season. [Vimeo via The Phoblographer via PetaPixel via Sleeklens via ThatSweetGift]
