Vimeo has launched their new default HTML 5 player. It is 50 percent faster than the flash module before this. But wait. They didn't just do this now. You may have already been using it for months because they've been slowly rolling it out.

Vimeo has also improved its On Demand platform, allowing content creators to charge money for their videos. If you have a payment account, you'll be able to purchase a video directly from the player.

The new player has improved sharing tools to wider compatibility. Vimeo is also working to improve its encoding pipelines, which if you might have noticed if you're a creator that uploads videos.
