Apple has another crazy patent. This time, for a touch-friendly, solar powered laptop. Who wouldn't want that?

The boring illustration in the patent application shows a regular laptop though. But under the hood, it's got some pretty cool features. The back of the display is a rear facing second display covered in electrochromic glass and solar cells. You can make the glass opaque or clear with the tap of a key, and it uses ambient light to recharge itself.

The laptop will also be touch sensitive, like an iPad. It also has a radio that's transparent enabling the whole thing to become one big WiFi antenna.

Too bad, it isn't real. At least, not yet. And while the patent exists, we can only assume they have plans to build it but not right now.
