In The Future, You Might Save Your Data on a Sticky Note
2014.03.12
We save our data on the go on USB thumb drives these days, but the future may look a whole lot different if this concept happens. What if you could save data as easy as slapping on a sticky note on your screen.
The theoretical proposal was made by designers Aditi Singh and Parang Anand and they theorize that a single layer of graphene sandwiched between two flexible protective layers could provide up to 32GB of storage space. A sticky edge would carry data from an optical data transfer surface built in to the edge of your computer's monitor.
For now, it is very theoretical. Graphene itself is still a wonder material but it has yet to make the move to consumer products.
Better than a USB? Sure is.
