Philips has decided to do away with light bulbs for a change and make illuminated panels. Their new OneSpace promises to make ceilings glow to light up a room. And it looks good!

They use the same stuff that powers glowing t-shirts, and the light from OneSpace is produced by a series of LEDs diffused by fabrics to produce a soft uniform glow. They are able to produce pure white light, which make them ideal for showrooms and more, because of their warm light.

The panels will be available in sizes up to 10 by 33 feet, and might be able to be linked and arranged side by side to accommodate larger spaces too.
