Google announced Project Tango tablet development kit, expanding the 3D modeling experiment. The new dev kit is packed with an NVIDIA TEGRA K1 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of on-board storage.

There's a motion tracking camera and depth sensing allowing you to use the hardware in real time to create 3D maps of environments. The new kit will be available in limited quantities for developers at $1024.
