The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation are on a hunt for a better condom. They recently awarded a grant to an Australian research team that are playing around with polymers to make condoms out of hydrogels. Those are the same materials used in contact lenses.

Hydrogels are impossibly strong, and they feel just like human skin. Hopefully, they make great progress with the grant.
