As mobiles constantly update, you may like to get a new phone every year. Otherwise, your software becomes obsolete. After some time, it’s impossible to update the software and your mobile will be fit for the proverbial scrapheap. Of course you’ll recycle. But speaking of recycling, there’s another point to consider. 

Can you really afford to update your phone frequently? The latest mobiles don't come cheap. They can set you back several hundred pounds. Which makes you think. You’d love an iPhone. If you’re an Android fan, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is probably more your style. But is it really necessary to shell out the bucks for the latest model? Older models, when professionally refurbished, can be a more affordable option. Most people buy phones in bundles, with a one-size-fits-all price including talktime and data. And bear in mind, it doesn’t have to be the latest model of the particular phone you have in mind. iPhones are built to last a good few years, so older models of the top mobile phone brands can still be an excellent buy. They should still have a good few years of productive life left in them. A phone which has been professionally refurbished is as good as new and can still give you up to two years of excellent usage.Which is as long as most people keep mobile phones. You can have the status and the use of a top mobile brand for a much more affordable price. You’ll be the envy of all your friends. Sounds good? The fact is, there are folks out there with money who love to play with the latest gadgets. However, they quickly become bored once the novelty wears off. When newer gadgets appear on the market, these are the desirable ones. So the recently acquired mobiles go back to the dealer for refurbishment and reselling. Which means that you can have the phone of your dreams at a price you can afford. What could be better than that?

Don’t get me wrong. It’s not that you can grab the recent top of the range model at a dirt-cheap price. The price must reflect the value of the set. However, the phone has already been bought and has been already used. Even though it’s renewed, it’s secondhand. Therefore it’s more likely to be within the reach of the more budget-conscious buyer. What’s not to like? Of course, nobody needs to know it’s secondhand. The thing is, if your budget doesn’t stretch to a nearly-new refurbished mobile, there are lots of older models which are still available. One day they will go out of date, but as of now, they’re working. This is how some people, who are on a limited income, can still manage to have an iPhone, the ultimate status symbol. Check with the dealer regarding how long you can use the phone. If the software is still updating and likely to continue doing so for over a year, you’re good to go.
