Run-n-Read. This Motion Sensor Lets You Do Just That (Video)
2013.09.06
Researchers at Purdue University had developed a device that lets you read while running on a treadmill. But back then, it was using infra-red goggles and tracking cameras. That meant difficult to wear, difficult to use.
Now things have gotten simpler with the Run-n-Read clip-on sensor. It tracks the up and down movements of a runner and transmit them via Bluetooth to an Android or iOS reading app.
The Run-n-Read sensor can also be used to flip pages back and forth by giving it a tap or a double-tap, and even doubles as a fitness tracker by keeping tabs on how many steps you've taken.
Available for pre-order today on Dragon's new crowdfunding platform, the retail version will cost over $100, and those who donate earlier can get a Run-n-Reader for $40. Check out the prototype demonstrated below: [Run-n-Read]
