Texas Instruments announced a new chip architecture for portable projectors and now here's one futuristic piece of news: they are rolling out its first chip with that tech built-in. This means pictures are going to beam into your eyes!

The DLP (Digital Light Processing) 0.2-inch TRP (Tilt and Roll Pixel) chipset works with pixels that are 1/20th the width of a human hair and are 10 percent brighter than current chips, but only use 50 percent of the power. It can fit into phones, tablets and wearables.

Google Glass Explorer Editions sport a Texas Instruments brain—a dual core OMAP 4430 CPU. Vuzix, the Google Glass knockoff are already using the chip, and say that it can help to improve its severely disappointing screen.
