Twitter is going to go public, the company revealed on Thursday. They tweeted the announcement on Thursday afternoon.

The company is now valued at around $11 billion according to estimates and they were able to file confidentially thanks to the JOBS (Jumpstart Our Business Startups) Act. JOBS applies to companies with less than $1 billion in revenues.
