Weird 10-Propeller Flying Car Spotted in California
2013.11.22
A company in Mountain View, California might be building a strange looking flying car. The company itself is in stealth mode, so details are scarce. However, images of the flying car have been captured by lucky passersby.
The company is called Zee.Aero, and although it's set up right next to Google, its head of HR (and the man listed as inventing this vehicle) Ilan Kroo denied being affiliated with the tech giant.
The image above (taken from a helicopter) is actually about a year old, which means that this flying car had already been in the works for some time.
A new patent, filed this August by Zee.Aero, shows an image of the flying car parked between a family sedan and a station wagon. Could this be an indication that this vehicle is meant to become a flying family vehicle?
It has a total of 10 propellers, eight of which face upwards, and would be used in vertical take-offs and to keep the flying car aloft. The two other propellers are located at the vehicle's rear to provide the majority of the forward thrust.
Unfortunately, nobody has come forth with images of the object in flight, but we're hoping for a big announcement from Zee.Aero in the near future.
