If a mother is going to secretly abandon her newborn, she will do it. There are so many factors that compel a person to do this: financial constraints, societal pressure on unwed mothers, drug-abuse, and so much more. We don't know who these women are, and neither will their children.

The unfortunate result of baby dumping is that most mothers leave their infants in the streets or in trashcans. Pastor Lee of the Jusarang Community Church in Seoul, South Korea, probably realized he couldn't change these mothers' minds, but he knew he could save the babies. So he set up a baby drop box for mothers to abandon their babies at.

In some ways it's truly disheartening to see Pastor Lee's drop box actually being used, but at the same time heartwarming to see these babies being left in a safe place to be cared for.
