How do you crack an egg? By the side of a bowl and then splitting it over the bowl, right? Guess what? You're doing it all wrong.

As explained by America's Test Kitchen, the problem with that is you might find pieces of egg shells attaching themselves to the raw egg. To avoid this, crack the egg on a flat surface of a counter and pull the two pieces of the egg apart at the crack.
