What do you mean it's not human meat? TV's The Walking Dead zombies are always munching on people, which they obviously aren't. So what exactly are they eating?

Turns out it's ham. Covered in BBQ sauce. The show used vinegar on ham as well in the beginning but found that it was messing with the zombie make-up. Check out the video below. Spoiler warnings ahead:
