When was the last time you dined in a fancy restaurant? While price is one of the reasons we don't eat in lavish places every night, these restaurants are entirely different. They are located in places that are almost inaccessible. Check them out in the list below:

1. Pitcairn Island – Christians Café

Pitcairn Island is located in the center of the South Pacific Ocean and is only accessible by boat, but that's also hard thanks to its sharp cliffs at the shoreline. To reach it, you have to fly to Tahiti, then to Mangareva, and then take a boat for 300 miles.

2. The Maldives – Ithaa

This is the world's first underwater restaurant and is located off the coast of the Maldives. It is located fifteen feet under the surface of the sea and has a glass ceiling for patrons to gaze at the beautiful underwater life while dining.

3. Peru – Tampu Restaurant

The Inca trail takes 2-4 days to hike and is so popular that it must be booked months in advance. You have to travel in a group with a tour agency. But when you get there, you'll at least also get to check out Machu Picchu.

4. New Zealand – The Furneaux Lodge

The Furneaux Lodge, is in the remote Marlborough Sounds in New Zealand. It can only be reached via boat and there isn't a single road that leads to it.

5. China – Mount Huashan Teahouse

The teahouse on top of Mount Huashan is incredibly scary to get to. First you have to take a gondola ride from the base of the southern peak. Then you have to hike the mountain on planks of wood about a foot across. They are nailed precariously to the side of the mountain. Getting down is going to be a hassle too.

6. Sweden – Fäviken

Fäviken is located in Järpen, Sweden and is so isolated, it requires a six-hour drive on a single lane road. You had better relax for a while after getting there.

7. Argentina – La Mesita de Almanza

La Mesita de Almanza is located on the Tierra del Fuego island. It can be found in the city of Ushuaia, and is often referred to as the end of the world.

8. Faroe Islands – Nordasti Hagi

The Faroe Islands are located between Iceland and Norway and are very isolated. But getting to Nordasti Hagi is more difficult. You'll need to take a 45 minute off-road ride, and then later continue on foot for 20 minutes.

9. Scotland – The Three Chimneys

Scotland's The Three Chimneys is located on the Isle of Skye and has been open for thirty years and is extremely difficult to reach. You'll need to take a six hour drive and a ferry ride, and then an hour drive from Portree, the largest town in Skye.

10. Zanzibar – The Rock

The restaurant is located on a rock off the coast of Zanzibar Island. Reaching the restaurant depends on the sea itself. If there's low tide, patrons can reach the restaurant on foot, but during high tide, you will need to ride a boat there.
