There's a petition to ban ear piercing for children in the United Kingdom in which most of the parents consider such practice as 'Child Cruelty'. The petition has almost 30,000 people signed within a week. The campaign which started by Susan Ingram on the website 36 Degrees caught the attention of lawmakers. Member of U.K's Parliament, Mark Tami, has also planned to bring up the issue at the House of Commons. These are the reasons such practice should be banned:
