Jimmy Kimmel decided to help everyone make sense of what happened over the week when the Twitter beef between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj broke out. He did so by explaining everything in emoji. Things are finally clear now!

Nicki Minaj was mad that she didn't get nominated for an MTV Video of the Year award for "Anaconda." So she went to vent on Twitter.

Taylor Swift, was nominated for Video of the Year for "Bad Blood." Nicki tweeted, “If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year…”

Naturally, Taylor thought Nicki was talking about her.

Then she responded to Nicki saying that it was unlike Nicki to pit women against each other.

Nicki was confused because it wasn't about her, and it was about a bigger problem.

Taylor realized her fault, quickly pivoted and said, "If I win, come onstage with me." Nicki was like,"Um...."

Katy Perry jumped in because, you know, Bad Blood is rumored to be about her.

She tweeted, “ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman…”

Taylor probably didn't know how to respond or fight back.

Nicki, maybe shocked, and probably enjoying it.

Taylor decided to do damage control and tweeted an apology to Nicki.

Nicki said thanks.
