Comedian Ricky Gervais has a new Netflix show coming out soon titled "Derek", which is about a group of people who work at an old-age home.

To promote the show, Gervais decided to ask his Twitter followers to text their elders by asking "What's the most important thing you learned in life?"

First of all, we were kind of surprised that there were so many well written responses given that most of the grandmas and grandpas we know hate twiddling on their phones ("Why are the buttons so small?!") Below are the results compiled, some are sweet while the others are downright hilarious.
