Another reason to quit smoking altogether, whether it be the real deal or e-cigarettes. Here's a scene of one exploding behind a bar in England, covering a woman in sparks and flames. We've heard of e-cigarette controversies before but not one that involves something like this.

York Press reports that bartender Laura Bety was covered in flames when her co-worker's e-cigarette exploded all over her. It had been plugged into an iPad charger. Thankfully, nobody was seriously hurt in the incident.

E-cigarettes use batteries with lithium-ion chemistry, and while those kinds of batteries have a history of exploding, you wouldn't think it would happen to this.
