Ghica Popa, a Bucharest-based graphic artist and creative director, reinterpreted New Balance sneakers as imaginative vehicles. He took some of New Balance's sneaker designs and added his own distinctive style of individual rivets and odd characters to them in his illustrations.

One example would be the ‘New Balance x Ronnie Fieg’ series, which he turned into a yacht, while another example is the ‘New Balance x West NYC Alpine Guide’ which is now a snow glider.
