Watchmaker Autodromo dropped their latest Prototipo: a 70's esque Japanese hybrid design featuring quartz and mechanical movements.

First is the 42mm brushed steel case, and it recalls the prototype racers of the early 70s and pairs it with a quartz crystal movement with a mechanically powered chronograph. There is a discreet date window and tachymeter and pulsometer along the slim bezel.

The standard Prototipo is joined by the Prototipo Vic Elford Limited Edition - named after the Porsche driver and it sports an aesthetic reminiscent of Elford's Porsche 907 thanks to its white and yellow dial.

The black and white Prototipos retail for $625 USD while the special Elford model is limited to just 224 production models at $775 USD each. All three are now available directly from Autodromo.
