How To Make a Floating Tabletop On The Cheap
Who says a pool is just for swimming in? If you want to do other things like playing a game of cards or just need something to put your things on so they don't sink, then you'll need a floating table top. But why buy one when you make your own for cheap?
A styrofoam pool noodle and a cutting board (or any other thin and flat surface that's waterproof) is all you need to built you own floating tabletop.
First, measure and cut the pool noodle to match all four sides of the cutting board and then cut slats in those pieces so they can slide right onto the edges of the cutting board. You need to make sure they're snug enough so that you woon't have to use glue.
Make your floating tabletop as big or small as you like, just as long as it isn't bigger than the actual pool.
