Disgusting and yet also kinda fascinating. According to a press release from the municipal officials in London,  they've managed to remove the largest lump of fat ever recorded in Britain from a sewer under the city. Apparently it was the size of a bus. Below is what the mass looked like:

The 15-ton mass, since deemed "fatberg," was apparently blocking sewage flow from houses in southwest London, and was finally discovered after residents complained they were unable to flush their toilets. The fatberg was so big that it actually damaged the sewer lines, which will take weeks to replace and repair.

Further investigations revealed that the mass was made of fat and wet wipes. So think about that the next time before you flush.
