Before the attacks at Boston, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was just your average college kid on campus. And now some folks are worried that his surprising popularity online might transofrm him into a cult figure.

The hashtag #freejahar has been cropping up all over the social network on places like Twitter and Tumblr, and was started to help free the Boston Bomber suspect. What's especially eerie is that a majority of these supporters also happen to be young, influential females.

Some blogs are convinced of his innocence based on the many conspiracy theories that have been floating around the web. Others seem more concerned with ensuring that he's treated humanely, even going so far as to set up a petition to "guarantee Dzhokhar Tsarnaev the right to a fair trial," which has more than 6,000 supporters.

And this is all despite the fact that he had already confessed to the FBI that he and his brother were indeed behind the attacks as they were angry about the U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

As of now, Dzokhar is remaining mum after being read his Miranda Rights. But we're pretty sure all his online "fans" can't wait to hear what else he has to say.
