Gross Machine Transforms Sweat Into Drinking Water
Have you ever been so thirsty that you'd be willing to drink your own sweat? You know can. According to the BBC, engineer Andreas Hammar has designed an actual "sweat machine" which converts human sweat into purified drinking water.
The machine works by spinning and heating sweat-soaked clothes to extract their moisture. It then purifies the moisture to make it drinkable.

"The amount of water it
produces depends on how sweaty the person is – but one person’s T-shirt
typically produces 10ml [0.3oz], roughly a mouthful."
The machine was designed as part of a Unicef campaign to help raise awareness on the fact that nearly 800,000 of the world’s people don’t have access to clean drinking water. Bet that makes you appreciate the office water cooler a little more now, doesn't it?
