Scientists Develop Comedy Robot To Spit Out Sexist Jokes
So apparently there was a shortage of lame comedians somewhere on this planet, because that's the only reason we could think of on why someone thought it would be a good idea to invest time and money building a robot that could generate lame jokes.
The 'UnPC PC' was designed by David Matthews, a computer scientist who helped develop the computerised comedian at the University of Edinburgh's school of informatics. More via the Telegraph:
It most commonly came up with jokes comparing men or women with another object, like: “I like my women like I like my gas … natural.”
While some could have rivalled a human comedian for generating a wry smile, others worked less well.
One joke that did not work so well was: “I like my men like I like my court … superior.”
