Good news for all you ladies getting ready to pop out a baby, Facebook is now going to make it that much easier to tell all your jealous friends about your blissful news. The feature is a new “Life Event” for Timeline Thursday, which enables future parents to officially announce that they're “Expecting a Baby.”



The feature allows you to list the gender, due date, second parent, location (TMI?) and any other crucial details about how you made that baby. You can also attach a photo (cue obligatory ultrasound photo) as further proof.

If you categorize your news as “Celebrations” under Life Events, it will be prioritized in the News Feed and are frequently highlighted in the top right-hand rail alongside birthdays, upcoming events and app requests.
