The change may not take effect as soon as we'd like it to be so instead of waiting around. you can go to facebook.com/about/newsfeed. Second, click the big green "Join Waiting List" button at the top of the page. Boom. Done. Next step? Wait.

There's no specified time you have to wait, but it's probably better than waiting around for them to roll out to you when they do. Facebook said the roll out to users will happen on the same day.
