Whoever came up with the design for toothpaste tubes must have not been that concerned about waste. How else can you explain why it's so difficult to squeeze out the extra toothpaste that tends to sit at the bottom of the tube?

But there's a really simply solution which doesn't involve stressing your digits. Just grab a pair of scissors and cut off the other end of the tube before using your toothbrush to fish out the remains. You'll be surprised to how much toothpaste gets left behind, which should last for up to three more brushings.
