It's still uncertain if genetically modified food is dangerous for our health, but a new study suggests that even if GM food isn’t directly making us sick, it might be causing us to gain weight.
For the study, researchers from the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science examined how rats and salmon respond to GM food. The rats that were fed GM corn (genetically modified for pest resistance) slowly got fatter than those who hadn’t been fed GM corn over a 90-day period. They also ate more and grew faster. The same effects could be seen when the rats were fed fish that had eaten GM corn.

These so-called "brain-shakes" can supposedly "slow down cognitive decline," and

If your parents didn't regulate your TV-watching when you were young,
then this study says you should put the blame on them for your
inability to run faster than your peers.
For the study, researchers observed 1,314 kids in Quebec on how much time they spent in front of the television from ages 29 months
to 53 months. As second-graders, the kids were asked to perform
the physical feat of jumping from a stand-still. Those that had watched
more TV recorded much shorter standing long-jumps than their more
rambunctious peers.

A new scientific study claims that women who dine out during lunch tend to lose less weight than those who stay at home.
In a year-long study at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in
Seattle, researchers discovered a significantly different result in the
weight among older overweight and obese women who kept "food journals" (recording what they ate, how much of it and how many
calories) versus those who didn't. The women who participated were 50 to 75 years old, and were divided into two groups: diet only and exercise
plus diet. Both groups lost an average of 10% their body weight.

If you're big on salad, don't think about using fat free dressing for it because you're doing it all wrong. Scientists say you need to eat salad with fat based dressings to get the most out of the veggies and having no fat in your salad actually diminishes the benefit of eating vegetables.

We are one hungry species. We eat all the time. In fact, several times in a 16 hour period. The only time we don't is when we're sleeping for the remainder 8 hours of the day. According to Gary L Wenk, Ph.D, writing for Psychology Today, a study shows that sleep and health may improve if you limit your feeding hours.
